Leucothoe axillaris ReJoyce™
A graceful, arching form with wine-red leaves all through the fall and winter. More compact, dense, hardy, and disease resistant than the species or other named varieties, with more dramatic foliage in fall and on new growth.
Beginning in spring, new leaves emerge red above older green foliage. White, urn-shaped flowers form in short clusters on gently arching branches. In fall, foliage turns deep bronze purple.
ReJoyce’ thrives in woodland settings or on slopes with dappled sun, in average garden soil – preferably with a pH of less than 7.
