Helictotrichon Sempervirens Sapphire
‘Sapphire’ is an great addition to any ‘hot’ area in need of ‘cooling off’. Adds a coarse, spikey texture wherever planted. Similar to the species, but has brighter, steel blue leaves. tending to widen as they mature. In early Summer, small, tan seed heads appear on tall stems held above the foliage. Evergreen in all but the coldest zones.
Best in the full sun with good drainage.
Drought & wildlife tolerant.
