Fothergilla major Mount Airy
An outstanding cultivar selected by Michael Dirr from the Mount Airy Arboretum in Cincinnati, Ohio, for its consistent fall coloration, heavy bloom, and vigor. The fragrant midspring flowers are the familiar creamy bottlebrushes; the fall color is a spectacular blend of yellow. orange, & red. Larger growing than the species, with a rounded habit. 5′ x 5′
