Carex eburnea Bristle-leaved Sedge
Carex eburnea is a cool-season plant that can be used as a lawn alternative. Soft, green, thread like foliage forms a small clump. Spring whitish green flowers are insignificant. Native to North America, from Nova Scotia to Alaska and as far south as Central Mexico. Handles a wide range of growing conditions, from wet riparian zones to rocky bluffs. Cold hardy to USDA zone 2.
Nice in rock gardens and as accent plants in smaller gardens.
